Before applying to adopt a dog please do your research on the breed and be sure it is one that fits your lifestyle.  Also be sure everyone in the home is onboard with adopting a new family member.

After we receive your application, it will be reviewed and assigned to a member of our application processing  team.  You will receive an email about setting up a time our volunteer can call you and discuss your application.  Your references will be called including your vet.  The final step is a home visit set up. If your application is approved we put you in touch with the foster parent of the dog you are interested in.  After mutually agreeing the dog is a good match, a meet and greet is set up.  Finally the adoption takes place which involves you signing a adoption contract.  Most applications are processed within a week or two.
Our adoption fees are $450 for adults and $500 for puppies under one year old unless otherwise noted.  Seniors and harder to place dogs or dogs that have been in our program are often times a lower fee.

Almost half of our adoption fee goes towards transporting the dog north.  Almost all dogs we take in require spay/neuter and routine shots and treated for parasites.  Some have minor health issues.  The adoption fee barely covers our costs.  While it may seem like alot of money, you are receiving a fully vetted dog and your adoption fee is what sustains us and helps us to save more dogs.

If you are interested in any of our great dogs, please fill out an application.

All of our dogs will be spay/neutered, up to date on age appropriate shots, heart worm negative and parasite free. The dogs all have health certificates and microchips.
We rescue both locally and in the south.  Our southern dogs typically spend 2 to 3 weeks in a foster home after being pulled from a shelter in the south. Once they come to NH they are quarantined then seen by our vet and go to a foster home or preappoved adopter.
