Peyton

Peyton came to us with a great deal of anxiety. Very active and a bit crazy on leash. His life down South was spent on a chain outdoors. He had no idea how to walk on leash or what it was like to be in a warm house with a comfy bed and a family to call his own. We were pretty sure Peyton was going to be a part of the kennel life for the rest of his. He was given lots of walks (even though mostly walking the volunteers), lots of snuggle hugs and attention but it just wasn't the same with out a family of his own. A super hero Peyton needed. A super hero Peyton got! A very special lady said she wanted to give Peyton a chance to have that. She told us she had another dog, kids, and on top of that, chicken and goats! To say we were skeptical that it would work, we were really skeptical but we also knew Peyton deserved to have this and we were willing to give it a chance. We met her at a fundraiser we were doing for the rescue. As soon as she came up to Peyton he was giving her wet kisses in his excitable way. Jumping all over her. She slipped a chest harness on him and he was like a whole new dog. All of the volunteers that new how hyper Peyton was, stood in total awe. Peyton had finally found his Super Hero!It took a very special person to have patience and tender hearts to allow him into their lives and her name is Brandi.
