This is Taco who is a 14 pound scruffy terrier mix. Taco is great with other dogs and even ignores the cat. We think Taco is between 2 and 3 years old. Here is what his foster mom says about him when I asked if he was a lap dog: He's a low/med energy. He enjoys walks but is pretty chill in the house. He'll engage with in a light tug of war with a stuffed animal but he pretty much just hangs out inside. Taco's not wild about being picked up but allows it so I just pick him up only out of necessity. He's a little big for a lap dog. He prefers to sit on the couch or bed next to you. I'll pull him into my lap sometimes but he won't stay there super long. He's super cuddly though. He likes to lean against you and put his weight on you and nuzzle his head against you. It's adorable. So maybe not a super lap dog but very physically affectionate. Always ready for hugs and cuddles. You just look at him and the tail the stars thumping- a real happy boy. He bonds really quick and fast with people too. He loooved my mom right away. And was so upset when she left. He'd be a great pet for most anyone. As with all our dogs we will require proof of a obedience course as we feel it is very important for the new family regardless of previous dog training experience to complete a training class soon after adoption to not only establish basic obedience but to bond with your new dog as well as socialize it. Adopt fee is $425 for adults, $475 for dogs under 1 yr. which includes core vaccines, dewormed, current on flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, heart worm/lyme test if over 6 months, a health certificate, microchip and spayed or neutered.
