Jezzebelle is a year and half old dna tested huskyshepherd ottiechow mix. She is more husky like in personality than anything: happy go lucky, never met a stranger and full of energy and loves the outdoors. However she is perfectly fine chilling in the evening hanging out with her people or entertaining herself as long as she has had a chance to burn off some energy.
Jezzy loves being outdoors in her foster family's yard. Being part husky she does not mind the snow and cold or even the rain and has most recently been found playing in a mud puddle teaching her foster brother the fine art of getting wet and muddy. Because she loves the outdoors this by no means she wants to be left outside for long periods.
Jezzy would love an active family that can take her for long walks and hikes on a regular basis. Jezzy is a great size, about 60# and rides well in the car which makes it easy to take her along. She would also love a fenced yard as she loves to go outside unless you plan on walking her several times a day. She currently uses a doggy door at her foster home and is house broken. She would not be the best candidate for an apartment situation. She is not a big barker just voices her objection of being in the crate when something really exciting is going on that she feels left out of. She is an adolescent and feels she should be included in everything. She is an affectionate girl.
Jezzabelle loves being with her people and can get quite excited when they return. She also loves to play with other dogs but because of her excitability need to be introduced in a slower controlled manner if the other dog is not thrilled with her eagerness to play.
Jezzy is a smart girl. She has has a basic manners class but would definitely benefit from her new owner taking her to classes as we believe it is a wonderful bonding tool which helps refresh both the dog and the owner on training tips.
Jezzy has been fostered with several dogs from 20# to 160# she gets along with most dogs but she has an exuberant personality that can be alot for some dogs, especially older or feeble dogs as she loves to play. She does try to get her little 20# foster brother to play and doesn't hurt him with her excitement. Jezzy has also been around cats but she does like to chase them. She would likely do best with another playful male dog
Jezzy has been exposed to livestock including horse, goats, ducks and chickens.
Jezzy is an adolescent dog who was given up by a young local couple who got her as a puppy but didnt have time for her as she got older and she was spending long days in a crate. Jezzy did grow up with a school age child. Because she is an adolescent and can be pushy we would prefer her home have older children.
Jezz is crate trained and house broken. She loves toys and plays fetch.
Jezzy is spayed up to date on shots, heart worm negative and microchipped.
